Read the icon, then the sentence

Since 11 March 2022, rounds are marked with a type icon. The useful version of those types is:

Type What a win means Examples with a published note
Survival Outlast the hazard or the timer Penguin Pushover, Colossal Assault, Skewer Shuffle, Protect the Statue, Treacherous Tiles, Train Trouble
Racing Reach the end Crag Clamber, High Rolling, Aztec Adventure, Downhill Roll, The Crusher, Slippery Sledding, Lane Jumping, Bullet Bound
Versus Contest the other players Ring Diver, Only One Path, Backforth Dash, Outbreak, Hex-a-Gone, Kooky Karts, Electrical Gridlines, Balloon Platoon
Team Red versus blue Above Water, Battleship Skirmish, Dodgeball, Tile Takeover, Whack-a-Block, Clear Side
Controller One player hunts, everyone else survives Bombs Away, Bowling Bustle, Pyre Pit, Laser Guidance, Platform Peril, High Pressure, Romper Stomper
Luck Chance does most of the work Balcony Bolt, Big Bomb Boom, Cake Delivery, Hedge Way Out, Turntable Scurry, Four Corners

A 2024 tour labels Minefield March as versus. The later Typical Games index files it under luck. Protect the Statue is survival in that tour and a team example on the daily-mission page. Destroy the Statue is a team example, and its Skylands version is also listed among 1v1 rounds. When two labels exist, play the objective on your screen for that map.

The learning order is an editorial suggestion for which types to practice first. It is not an official rank.

Controller, in one sentence

If you are chosen, you get the tool. If you are not, you survive. People still alive at the end win, and so does the controller, even if someone is left. Known tools: bombs in Bombs Away, bowling balls in Bowling Bustle, steam pipes in High Pressure, two laser hits in Laser Guidance, a lava platform in Platform Peril, rotating lava lines in Pyre Pit, and a stomper in Romper Stomper. High Pressure is also written Hard Pressure on one category page.

Two movement ideas that are old but specific

A 2019 tip for Dizzying Decisions says to stand at an edge of the center platform and watch which outer platform is selected. The same video's Train Trouble tip says to watch from the back of the train, then return to the center so you can reach either side. Pro shortens the gap between segments. Maps have changed since that video. Use the idea only if the current layout still has a center and a readable next segment.

New in October 2026

On 2 October 2026 TypicalType added Crocodile Chaos and Stallion Stampede. Their type and win condition were not in the post. They are on the rounds list as new, not as ranked.

Individual pages are only for rounds with a published type or objective. The live game says 142 minigames, so this is a documented subset.
